The Express Tribune was launched by the Express Media Group on April 12, 2010.

KARACHI: The Express Tribune was launched by the Express Media Group on Monday.

The new English language daily newspaper covers a variety of topics ranging from politics to the economy, foreign policy, investment, sports and culture.

With a staff of acclaimed journalists, the paper's mission is to deliver news that is both informative and insightful.

The Express Tribune is part of the Express Media Group's other flagship media brands which include, the Daily Express, Express News, and Express 24/7, Pakistan’s only 24-hour English language news channel.

However, people with a lot less money are doing much more if you compare amount of money and amount of work being done. I hope you will forgive me as friends tell it all to you, whereas enemies will not tell what may benefit you, as they will make you feel big and great but will make you lose, if and whenever they get a chance. Hopefully, this paper will prove unbiased and unprejudiced paper and will throw light on those issues which are seldom exposed or manipulated. I congratulate you over the print edition of EXPRESS TRIBUNE. It really is a bold, innovative and great step forward in the field of journalism. It will lead to the propagation of information, knowledge and news that is accessible to majority. Still majority Pakistanis have no access to internet so this print edition will provide them with something really enchanting and informative. I pray for your further success. Now when you have launched the Print edition, I believe you will need some journalists or writers for your paper. So gray matter, lots of it, will be needed too. IHT affiliation gives respect but Paki portion of the paper needs to match the standard as well. In the beginning they may face some delayed paybacks but in the long run they will definitely reap greater dividends. People are fed up with the negativity that other publications are printing. The is a lot of talent and hope in this beloved land of ours, only that we don't see, hear and feel it. Having been associated very closely with one of the senior most journalists of Pakistan Mr. Sultan Ahmed as his son, I have seen the brutalities that honest and upright journalists have to face. Many have lost their lives and suffered injuries, faced imprisonment and more so now because of the live electronic media reporting, but they stood firm to their cause and never flinched from the dedication to duty. Instead they died with their boots on. Express Tribune is a tribute to all those valiant soldiers of a thankless profession called Journalism. Having read most of the English publications which at one time I used go through eleven newspapers which i curtailed on medical grounds, the Express Tribune is indeed a breath of fresh air. If it maintains a balance in its editorial policy and gives accurate and timely information in the form of news to the readers it has a bright future. In this intolerance society, newspaper like EXPRESS TRIBUNE is fresh breath of air.
