Raja Pervaiz Ashraf suffers defeat in NA-51

PML-N candidate opposing the former prime minister receives 82,339 votes.

Pakistan Peoples Party candidate and former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf suffers a defeat in NA-51 in Rawalpindi to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Raja Mohammad Javed Ikhlas, according to unofficial results.

The PML-N candidate received 82,339 while Ashraf received 3,233.

In the 2008 elections, Ashraf also contested from NA-51 and won the seat against Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid candidate Raja Qasim Javed Ikhlas.
