Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s PS-111 candidate Kamran was arrested for trying to submit a duplicate vote, Express News reported.

Police also recovered firearms from the candidate’s car.

Earlier in the day PPP general secretary Taj Haider had alleged that fake votes were being cast in UC 2, 6 and 7 of the PS-111 constituency, and complained that voters and workers of PPP were not allowed in polling stations situated at UC 5 and 6 of NA-249 and PS-100.

Rigging complaints in certain constituencies of Karachi led to extensions in polling times. For NA-250, the Election Commission of Pakistan announced that polling will be held once again in 42 polling stations due to serious delays caused by absence of polling staff and ballot materials.

I am surprised even after media intervention and the polling station being in DHA there were so many problems with staff and army not present what was happening in other or sensitive parts of Karachi or even Pakistan. I love the Pakistan Army but what is this, is this gross negligence, favourtism or simply following orders of the high ups. Bottom line, the average Pakistani citizen rights have been violated with all the security agencies being specatators of all this cheating going around.
