4 security officers killed, 6 injured in Bannu bomb attack

Planted bomb exploded near a convoy of security personnel.

MIRANSHAH: Four security officials were killed and six sustained injuries when a roadside remote-controlled bomb exploded near their convoy in Frontier Region Bannu on Sunday.

According to an official, a security convoy was en route to Bannu from a camp in Mirali, North Waziristan Agency when a planted bomb exploded near one of the vehicles, killing four personnel and injuring six others.

The vehicle fell into a ravine due to the impact of the explosion.

After the explosion, security officials cordoned off the area, shifted the bodies and injured to the Bannu Combined Military Hospital and launched a search operation in the area.

The bodies were identified as Zulfiqar, Muhammad Sharif, Fazal Azim and Asad Khan.

Army should not go to tribal areas as these people do.t like it. This area belongs to them and they are the law enforcera.there.
