Law And Order: No check on robberies in Gujranwala

Police said Rs250,000 was snatched from Dr Zahid at gunpoint.

GUJRANWALA: Two mobile phones, 100 English pounds and hundreds of thousands of rupees were snatched from a family travelling from Gujrat to Gujranwala on Thursday. The robbery took place near the Satellite Town Girls College. Police said Rs250,000 was snatched from Dr Zahid at gunpoint. He had withdrawn the cash from a bank near a police picket. Thousands of rupees, a mobile phone, a wristwatch and a gold ring were taken away from Moazzam near the Kidney Hospital. Mobile phones and petty cash were snatched from Muhammad Azam, Saleem and Javed in Girjakh. Mobile phones and cash were robbed from Javed, Irshad and Tahir in Baghbanpura. Mobile phones were snatched from 15 people in the Civil Lines area.
