KARACHI:

The Sindh government has acknowledged the rising menace of copy culture during the ongoing SSC Part I and II examinations.

Sindh Education Department’s additional secretary (Boards), Saeed Ahmed Shaikh, has directed all education board chairpersons to take measures to stop the usage of unfair means and form vigilance committees.

Shaikh said that complaints regarding blatant use of unfair means were piling up and prompt action needs to be taken by board authorities. He pointed out that the central control room, established on the directives of the caretaker chief minister, is closely monitoring the examinations and is doing its best to respond to complaints in a timely manner.

The additional secretary said necessary directives have been issued to the law enforcement agencies to provide security to students, invigilators and other examination staff and ensure peaceful and secure examinations.
