Indian actor Taapsee Pannu knows how to dress for the sultry weather.

She recently made her Bollywood debut with the film Chashme Baddoor opposite Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, and was spotted at the K Lounge for the movie’s press meet. We loved her summer look, and have broken it down for you to try out.

Hair

Taapsee naturally has tight curls in her hair, so for the press meet she blow-dried and straightened it. Parting it right through the middle, Taapsee pinned her hair on both sides to make sure it stays in place. Her layers fall fabulously over her shoulders.

Make-up

This actor knows how to sport a cool and comfy look. Taapsee made sure she wore a nude-pink lipstick and a light blush for her cheeks. Without overdoing it, something we can’t say about her movie, Taapsee looked perfect for the event. We recommend using Mac’ Mineralize Rich Lipstick Glamour Era (Rs1,950) and Mac blush (Rs800).

Accessories

The actor’s decision to wear a bunch of funky accessories was brilliant. We loved the bright orange she used to bring out that dress. And while no summer look is complete without sexy sunglasses, we also want to point out her mix-and-match bracelets and the chunky anklet she wore. All of the accessories are available at local markets, but for high in quality products, try Outfitters, Accessorize and Maria B.

Outfit

Taapsee wore the perfect cotton dress for the season. Ending at the mid-thigh, Taapsee’s printed dark blue and white short dress has a halter neck. You can find something similar at leading brands like Mango, Debenhams or Mantra (starting at Rs7,000); however a better option is to get it tailored. It would cost less and you can always make changes according to your personal taste.

Those silver sequined flats stole our hearts. For similar ones, try out Charles and Keith, Nine West, Walk Eaze and Zonah’s (prices can vary from Rs3,000 to Rs5,000).
