Joining hands: Tribal belt vows to support peace

Political Agent Riaz Mehsud said stringent and serious steps need to be taken.

PARACHINAR: Tribal elders and political agents of Kurram Agency said it is the need of the hour to promote peace and education in the tribal belt.

Addressing a conference for peace and tolerance on Sunday, Political Agent Riaz Mehsud said stringent and serious steps need to be taken to ensure tranquillity in the region and the tribal elders will play their due role in this regard.

The elders, while boosting the morale of the conference participants, said they all have to join hands and work for the prosperity of the nation. They vowed their support to the government and said collectively the nation has to help those who have been affected by terrorism in getting back on their feet.
