Political parties have been urged to withdraw their candidates from NA-250 in Karachi and support the nomination of Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, who has been imprisoned in the United States from the past 10 years.
Pasban Pakistan president, Altaf Shakoor, called upon all political parties to support Dr Fauzia in order to strengthen the struggle for Dr Aafia’s release.

This is ridicolous. Reason for giving vote is simple i.e. you support that party's menifesto and you believe that the party and the candidate are clean and capable people. Voting for someone because that person's sister is unjustly in jail is never heard of in develped countries.
