Adnan shines in grade II cricket

Batsman makes 160 in Patron’s Trophy match against PEB.

KARACHI: Adnan Mahmood scored a 196-ball 160 to help Humak Engineering post a formidable score of 329 for three on day one of their Patrons’ Trophy Grade-II Group C match against PEB at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad.

In another match, Omar Associates bowled out Candyland for a meagre 134 in 54.4 overs as Rizwan Akbar and Mansoor Ajmad picked up two wickets apiece.

In Group A, Customs could only manage 209 for eight in 68 overs against Navy.

Sohaib Shakeel’s unbeaten 69 and Imran Haider’s 53 propelled Pakistan Steel to 131 for two in 39 overs against Saudi Cricket International. Meanwhile, Rana Adnan scored a century as Syed Papers were all out for 380 in 73.4 overs against Service Industries at the Stages Ground in Lahore. Service Industries were reduced to 49 for three.

Elsewhere, CDA ended day one of 215 for four against PTV.
