KARACHI: Police arrested two suspects involved in the murder of Lyari gang war leader Arshad Pappu in Karachi on Wednesday, reported Express News.

The suspects were arrested during a raid in the Lyari area.

“We are raiding Lyari along with the Rangers,” said Superintendent Police (SP) during a press conference.

“We have also removed 150 barriers from the area.”

Last month, an under-trial prisoner, out on parole despite his involvement in two murder cases, was been arrested in connection with the murder.

SP Lyari Najam Tareen had said that the suspect, Shahjehan Baloch, was nominated for murdering Pappu in an FIR registered by Pappu’s wife.

Police had registered a case against chief of the outlawed Peoples Amn Committee (PAC), Uzair Baloch and notorious gangster Noor Mohammad aka Baba Ladla and others for kidnapping and killing Pappu.
