Election 2013: Qureshi to fight Gillani at NA-148

Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was the first to submit his and his son Zain Qureshi’s nomination papers.

More tan 150 candidates have obtained nomination papers to contest the May 11 elections for six national assembly and 13 provincial assembly seats.


Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was the first to submit his and his son Zain Qureshi’s nomination papers in NA-148.

Ali Musa Gillani, the son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, has also obtained nomination papers from this constituency.

Sixteen candidates including former federal minister Javed Hashmi, former Member National Assebly Liaquat Baloch and Bilal Butt have received nomination papers from NA-149; 17 candidates including Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed from NA-150; 11 candidates including Abdul Qadir Gillani and Sikandar Bosan from NA-151 and eight candidates including Asad Murtaza Gillani from NA 152. Besides, dozens of candidates have received nomination papers for the 13 provincial assembly seats.

Alas!.. Big dreams.. two days ago PTI was against family politics and status quo..
