BANNU: Three power pylons were cut using sharp blades, disrupting electricity in several Frontier Region (FR) villages on Thursday. Rukhsar Khan, an official of the cantonment police, said unidentified militants cut the electricity towers in Mamash Khel, adding they also stole several kilometres of supply cables. The official said residents informed police about the incident. He further said the towers, which supplied 11kv of electricity to FR areas were lying in fields. “Previously militants would just cut the towers. This time they took away the supply cables as well,” claimed the official, adding the case was being investigated.
