Corporal punishment: Two teachers booked

Hussain lodged a complaint against the two accused under section 337 F/5 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

BALAKOT: Two teachers were booked for allegedly subjecting a student to corporal punishment here on Tuesday. Police quoted Jamal Shah*, a 10th grader at Government High School for Boys Kanshiyan as saying that he went to drink water after taking permission from the class teacher, Shahid Mansoor*. However, Shah alleged, when he got back, the teacher got infuriated and accused him of trying to bunk the mathematics class. The complainant said the accused beat him with kicks and fists and dragged him outdoor, where another teacher Yasir Akhtar* hit him with clubs and pushed him down a boundary wall of the school. Hussain lodged a complaint against the two accused under section 337 F/5 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Later, the medical report confirmed a fracture in his hand. However, none of the accused could be arrested till the filing of this report.
