According to many sites on the internet the legal status of Chitral Gol itself is unclear. It seems that the courts have decided that Chitral Gol is the property of the Mehtar, if that is correct then he should also be encouraged to care for the wildlife in Chitral Gol, just like many sardars and nawabs are doing in other parts of the country.
