A man killed his brother and sister over a monetary dispute here on Saturday.
Police quoted Usman as saying that his mother Ghazala Shabnam was visiting his maternal grandfather’s house in Risaldariyan Mohalla where his maternal uncle Sheikh Safeer Ahmed and his younger brother Sheikh Shakil Ahmed exchanged hot words over a monetary dispute.
Safeer got infuriated and opened fire at Shakil, injuring him seriously. The complainant added that when his mother tried to rescue her brother, the accused shot at her, injuring her as well.
The injured were taken to Women and Children Hospital where both siblings of the attacker, were pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a First Information Report against Safeer, Sheikh Tanvir and their younger sister Shumaila Bashir.
The police have also arrested Tanvir, who took the injured to the hospital however the accused Safeer and their sister Shumaila are still at large.
