LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri announced a new “revolution march” on Monday for free and fair elections, Express News reported.

Qadri, while speaking at a press conference in Lahore, said that the new protest would take place in six cities, starting in Gujranwala on February 16.

The PAT leader insisted that he does not intend to delay elections and wants them to take place on time, which is what the “revolution march” aims to accomplish. He added that the PAT will file a petition with the Supreme Court to ensure free and fair elections take place in a timely fashion.

Qadri denied having any contact with Chief of the Army Staff Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

@Maria:

I dont understand why all of you are focused on Character assassination and just trying portray out of the context... How come a long march is needed in Canada.. lols

we have problems here in our Pakistan, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri lived for more than 55 years in Pakistan and still Pakistani national by birth. He runs a worldwide social welfare organization having proper infrastructure in 90 countries and this is not it, He is serving as a ambassador of peace worldwide, denouncing terrorism (which many of our fellow Muslim think justifiable) in Islam, wrote 1000 books and more than 400 already published. His more than 5000 video lectures covering Islam as a way of life and it's aspect as a religion of 21st century. People who spent five days in chilled cold weather, in raining with their families and continuous threat of attack from Shaitan Malik's controlled Police and suicide attack from terrorist, were so sure about their leader Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They were un-armed and were ready to lay their lives and lives of their family on the call of their leader while remaining peaceful during all this time, not even a glass broken nor a leave of a tree. You will not found such an extraordinary example anywhere in the world. Those unknown people and their leader which look strange to you, cannot be found easily. You cannot give one such example. I wish majority of our nation comprise of such extra ordinary people who are determined and strong in their character. It's their will that they said what most powerful parties and groups couldn't say. They believe on striving for the right path whether it looks ridiculous to most of the people.

About PTI, I would say they have lost the train. it was time for IK to come up as a national leader but he remained a conventional politician. Where Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is now a national leader and after Quaid-Azam(RA) I don't see any other person like him filling the gap.
