SUKKUR:

A criminal wanted for over a dozen crimes was killed on Saturday morning during an exchange of fire with law enforcers near Khairi Chachar village.

At a press conference in Mirpur Mathelo later the same day, SSP Irfan Baloch said that Muhammad Ali Kori, a resident of Khairpur who has been involved in several crimes was shot dead by law enforcers. But his four accomplices escaped.

Some people say, however, that Kori and his accomplices were sitting at a barber shop in Hala on Friday evening from where they were apprehended by SHO Saifullah Bughio of the Section B police station in Ghotki. The police took them to back to Ghotki where they “brutally” shot the man dead. SHO Bughio denied the allegations. “I am performing duty at my police station and have not gone to Hala.”
