HYDERABAD:

The chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional, Pir Pagara, will never accept the responsibility of the caretaker prime minister, said the party’s general secretary Imtiaz Shaikh at a press conference on Saturday with Awami Tehreek’s leader Ayaz Palijo.

Shaikh referred to a news report, which claimed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is worried over the prospect of losing a strong ally in Sindh. “Pir Pagaro will not accept any offer [by the government] to become the interim PM,” he asserted.

He said that Pir Pagaro will call a conference of all the leaders soon to formally declare the election alliance.

Palijo said that his party will support the F-league and seat adjustments will also be done in the elections. He, however, expressed concern over the voter verification in Karachi, saying that the chief election commissioner Fakhruddin G Ebrahim has disappointed the people.
