Hockey: PTV, PAF register wins at National Championship

PTV defeat the HEC 5-2 while PAF down Sindh 2-1 at National Hockey Championship in Peshawar.

PTV defeated the HEC 5-2 while PAF downed Sindh 2-1 at the National Hockey Championship in Peshawar yesterday.


PTV’s Zulfiqar was the top performer of the match scoring an impressive brace while Manzoor, Ijaz and Abdur Rehman chipped in with a goal each. Goal scorers for HEC were Adil Zaman and Zeeshan in the match that finished 5-2.

In the other match, PAF defeated Sindh 2-1. PAF’s Mushtaq scored two goals in the 19th and 23rd minutes through penalty corners while Junaid scored a consolation goal for Sindh.

Punjab will play Sindh while Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will tackle PAF in today’s matches.
