Mercury levels dropped on Friday morning after a downpour in city. The rain continued for more than three hours.
According to the Met Office 12.5mm and 11mm rain was recorded at the Airport and the Jail Road observatories. Rain was expected to continue on late Friday night. Clear skies are expected by Saturday night when the temperature is predicted to fall slightly.
The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 13 degrees Celsius as compared to 13.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The lowest temperature was 6 degrees Celsius on Friday. On Thursday, the minimum temperature was 3.8 degrees Celsius.
A Met Office spokesperson said that though the temperature recording in the morning falls in case of rain, the average daily temperature may increase due to the presence of clouds.
On Friday, fog or mist was not an issue. The visibility was recorded at 2.5 kilometres.

Some roads of the city – including Bank Road, The Mall, Shalimar Link Road and link roads of Gulberg – were inundated.
District Coordination Officer Lahore Noorul Amin Mengal directed officials concerned to pump out rain water standing in low-lying areas of the city. He said negligence would not be tolerated.
