ISLAMABAD: Indian troops allegedly killed another Pakistan soldier in the disputed territory of Kashmir late on Tuesday, the army said.

The soldier was killed at a position called Kundi during firing from the Indian side that began at 10 pm local time, army said in a statement.

He was the fifth soldier reported killed in Kashmir in recent weeks but politicians on both sides have said the skirmishes should not derail a bilateral peace process.

Last week, India killed at least three Pakistani soldiers with retaliatory firing from Pakistan troops killing two Indian soldiers in between.
