As many as 102 students of various disciplines were awarded for their meritorious efforts at an award ceremony held at the University of Swat on Friday.

The students, parents and university administration attended an award ceremony at the Wadudia Hall of the university.

At the ceremony, the university’s VC Jahazeb Khan congratulated the position holders, their parents and teachers.

“I am very happy to distribute scholarships and awards among the students. This is the fruit of your hard work and I hope you will work harder in future,” he added.

He expressed the commitment to provide quality education to the students. Keeping in view the shortage of space, the university has hired a multi-storey building in Odigram.

The students visibly elated to be awarded for their toil. “I feel encouraged to work harder, it’s an honour to be recognised from amongst so many students,” said Hazrat Bilal, a student of Bachelor of Science who bagged two scholarships in the first and second semesters. He is majoring in Environmental Sciences.
