A ceremony will be held at 11 am at the Punjab Assembly to thank the legislators.

Several NGOs will honour parliamentarians who moved pro-women legislation in the Punjab Assembly in 2012. A ceremony will be held at 11 am at the Punjab Assembly to thank the legislators, a press release issued by Aurat Foundation said.

The NGOs organising the event include the Aurat Foundation, Shirkat Gah and the South Asia Partnership. The bills passed include The Punjab Protection against the Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Amendment Bill),the Punjab Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill (Urban/Rural), the Women University Multan (Amendment) Bill, the Government College Women University Faisalabad Bill, the Government College Women University Sialkot Bill, the Government College Women University Bahawalpur Bill and the Gender Mainstream Act.
