Entrepreneurship: ‘Australia keen to support women’

ISLAMABAD: The High Commissioner of Australia to Pakistan Peter Heyward on Wednesday said his country is was keen to support Pakistani female entrepreneurs who were highly capable and resilient. “The embassy of Australia and Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) will jointly push women empowerment initiatives and businessmen from Australia will participate in the upcoming Islamabad Expo 2013,” Heyward said while addressing the members of the IWCCI. The high commissioner spoke about the recent developments, particularly the positive economic growth and the growing business confidence by foreign investors which was an opportunity for Pakistani investors.
