Reviewing progress: Olson, Khar take stock of bilateral ties

ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson called on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday to review the recent progress made in bilateral relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues related to the reconciliation process in Afghanistan. Foreign Minister Khar underscored the importance of extending US market access to Pakistani goods and services.

The US envoy emphasised the importance of the Bilateral Investment Treaty for increasing trade and investment with Pakistan. He also reaffirmed that the US respects Pakistan’s sovereignty and appreciated efforts made by law enforcement agencies to fight terrorism.
