Terror suspects arrested for ties to Faisal Shahzad

Maps of the Prime Minister's house and the Presidency also recovered from the three suspects.

ISLAMABAD: Three people were arrested by security officials for suspected links to US terrorist Faisal Shahzad.

According to initial reports, the three suspects, Jameel Akhtar, Shahid and Shoaib were picked up in Islamabad on Tuesday. All three allegedly belong to various terrorist outfits. Maps of the Prime Minister's house and the Presidency were also recovered from the three suspects.

Pakistan had acknowledged that Faisal Shahzad who pleaded guilty to a New York bomb plot met the commander of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Hakimullah Mehsud in Pakistan. A video of the meeting was also released by TV channels.

Rashid Saleem | 13 years ago | Reply This clearly shows that the government has not let the flood disaster deviate their attention from counter terrorism activities. The concerned departments are still doing their best to apprehend all such people.
