Religious Tourism: Sikh pilgrims return to India

Officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board saw off the Sikh yatrees at the Wahga Railway Station.

Hundreds of Sikh pilgrims who came to Pakistan for the 544th birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Devji returned to India on Tuesday.

“We have enjoyed the hospitality extended by Pakistanis and are grateful to the government for taking special care of us,” said Sardar Jhang Bahadur, the leader of the Sikh party, according to a press release. He thanked the government and people of Pakistan for taking care of Sikh religious sites. Officials of the Evacuee Trust Property Board saw off the Sikh yatrees at the Wahga Railway Station.
