Militants had planted explosives near Madai Baba's shrine before detonating it late on Friday. The blast severely damaged the shrine and its dome.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Earlier in November, a medium-intensity bomb blast partially damaged the shrine of Phandu Baba at Phandu Chowk.

Unidentified militants planted a three kilogramme homemade bomb inside the shrine building, in the jurisdiction of Chamkani police station, triggering a large explosion.

I wonder what the usual biased critics of the processions would have suggested in the arrangement for security for this particular shrine....

'It should have been moved to another location to be targeted so "normal" local folks won't be disturbed'.

Pakistanis must recognize the intolerance and that militant extremism is the threat.
