Judo: Three Pakistanis to take part in Judo Grand Slam

Pakistan Judo Federation Secretary Masood Ahmed hopes the experience will help athletes prepare for South Asian Games.

KARACHI:

Three Pakistani athletes – Shah Hussain Shah, Shah Zaib Shah and Karamat Butt – will be participating in the Judo Grand Slam in China starting today.

The judokas will take part in the two-day event before heading to Japan for the Judo World Cup followed by the Judo Grand Prix in South Korea on December 7. The Pakistan Judo Federation Secretary Masood Ahmed hopes the experience will help the athletes prepare for the South Asian Games. “The experience will help them prepare themselves for the South Asian Games,” said Ahmed. “We are hoping that the players will at least rank among the top-30 in any of the three competitions.”
