Ghous Bux Mehar was appointed from Sindh on a Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) ticket.
While the government retracted his notification for federal minister, Mehar said that he had resigned himself.
According to sources, he was unhappy with the PPP and PML-Q alliance and that is why he contacted the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) too.
Mehar’s son Shaheryar Mehar earlier left his seat in the Sindh Cabinet and now sits in the opposition.

He is a very bad personality in Sindh especially in Shikarpur Sindh, people don't like hime
PML should be beware of opportunists of Musharraf & Zardari legacy !
Reason for removing the minister is not given by the PM neither the minister has given any substantive reason for his resignation as he claims whereas his son has resigned from the Sindh cabinet on SLG issue. However, changing sides is not unusual in Pakistani politics especially when there is no ideological or difference of principle between the two major parties of the country.
Most ministries are cosmetic and a burden on national concience. PM should consider getting rid of them asap.
Can ET please prepare a list of politicians and the parties they have changed in past 30 years
Clever people want to abandon the sinking boat well in time to remain afloat. PML (N) seems to be the boat with new sails.
