ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) expressed shock over the execution of Ajmal Kasab on Wednesday, the lone surviving gunman of the Mumbai attacks, and the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) said he was a hero and would “inspire” more attacks.
"He was a hero and will inspire other fighters to follow his path," the commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan expressed shock over India's execution of the lone survivor of an attack that killed 166 people in a rampage through the financial capital Mumbai in 2008.
"There is no doubt that it's very shocking news and a big loss that a Muslim has been hanged on Indian soil," Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan told Reuters.
The sole surviving gunman from the 2008 Mumbai attacks was executed on Wednesday, nearly four years after 166 people were killed in a three-day rampage through India’s financial capital.
Pakistan-born Mohammed Kasab was hanged at Yerwada jail in Pune in the western state of Maharashtra after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his pleas for mercy earlier this month.
He was sentenced to death in May 2010 after he was found guilty of a string of charges, including waging war against India, murder and terrorist acts.

Taliban have full ability and strength yet to do any activities in any forms and manifestations any time because Taliban's backbone has been broken only in the documents by the US' and Pakistani officials and in the real the facts are opposite and against the ground realities and Taliban have been reunited once again.

Really?!!! The world says LeT is a terrorist organization who are killing innocent Hindus in Kashmir and elsewhere in India. TTP on the other hand is a group of freedom fighters who are rightfully fighting for Shariat in Pakistan. They want to eliminate the corrupt government and corrupt army of Pakistan and bring in the pure bliss of Shariat. First by eliminating all new technology and western education and then by taking Pakistan to 15th century Arabia. It's their right.

India is guilty of the crime of delaying Shaheed Kasab's arrival in Jannat by as much as four years, when the infidel Indians knew very well that he, along with Nine other brave jihadis, was sent to Mumbai in 2008 with fully paid tickets to Jannat. This delay of 4 years is unpardonable as per Islamic laws, and India will have to pay for it.

The LeT has maintained all along that it was not involved in the Mumbai attacks. Therefore, if Kasab has been hanged purportedly for his crimes, why shall LeT threaten that it will inspire further attacks. I agree India is not a peaceful country for its minorities, but neither is Pakistan or for that matter any other country in the world. What was the rationale for the Mumbai terror attack apart from murdering innocent Indian public who were going about their daily business. LeT is a sick organisation, like Shiv Sena or any other terror and extremist group who have no respect for human life.

I remain against death penalty in principle. However, if anybody ever deserved death penalty it was this brutal murderer of innocent civilians. Those Taliban who are against his hanging must remember that they have hanged the bodies of even old Muslim religious leaders after digging them out of their graves. Execution of Kasab is just one small step in getting justice for victims if 26/11. It is indeed necessary that actual planners, be it Lakhvi, Hafiz Saeed or others are brought to book.
