World Diabetes Day: ‘0.37m people in RY Khan are diabetics’

He said diabetes affected eyes, heart and brain but could be controlled with a balanced diet.

BAHAWALPUR: “Of the 4.2 million people in the Rahim Yar Khan district, 378,000 million are diabetic,” Dr Muhammad Mohsin Raza Khan, an expert in diabetes and in charge of the Diabetic Clinic at the Shaikh Zayed Hospital, said on Wednesday.

He was addressing a seminar organised by Health Department on the World Diabetes Day. Dr Khan said that excessive consumption of fast food, lack of exercise and mental tension were major causes of diabetes.

He said diabetes affected eyes, heart and brain but could be controlled with a balanced diet.

We have to change our food habits.Salads, fish and chicken is the cure for diabetic.That would be best way of celebrating this day.
