12 militants killed in Kurram Agency

Twelve militants were killed in an IED explosion in Central Kurram Agency in FATA.

At least 12 militants were killed and several others were injured in an explosion at Mirandi Road in Central Kurram Agency on Saturday.

The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast came just days after a similar incident in which a militants’ convoy was ambushed by locals and as a result several militants were killed and many were injured.

Security forces have been conducting operations in the region and have succeeded in securing several major areas. However, they still face tough resistance in some areas of lower and central Kurram Agency.
