KOHISTAN: A teenage boy was shot dead an hour after his acquittal from a local court on Saturday. The Dasu police arrested two suspects nominated in the FIR registered by the victim’s family. The motive behind the murder was an old family feud, the police said. Ahmed Jameel, 18, was charged of murdering a fellow villager, Taoos Khan, in 2008. He was sent to jail and tried by a criminal court in Kohistan. The court, after hearing of arguments from both sides, acquitted Jameel on the benefit of doubt. However, when the teenager was returning home to Jalkot village, members of the rival group intercepted their vehicle and shot Jamil dead. The victim’s family nominated Salim and Mushtaq in the FIR they registered with the Dasu police.
