LAHORE:

A concert and a photo exhibition focussing on Sufism in this region were held at the Lahore Arts Council on Thursday.

The exhibition featured manifestations of Sufi culture captured by French photographer Yassir Benchelah and German photographer Horst A Friedrichs. “Their collaboration reveals the rich and diverse landscape of this movement,” said a press release.

Shaukat Chinyoti Dholiya and the Sher Miandad Qawal group entertained guests with music inspired by Sufism. The events were organised by the French Alliance in Lahore and the Annemarie Schimmel Haus. French Ambassador Philippe Thiebaud and German Cultural Attaché in Pakistan Dr Thomas Ditt were the guests of honour.
