N Waziristan violence: Four dead in gun attacks

Official says attackers escaped from the crime scene soon after.

MIRAMSHAH: Four people were killed on Monday by unidentified gunmen in two separate shooting incidents in North Waziristan Agency. According to a political administration official in Miramshah, around 11:00 am assailants opened fire at a Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) vehicle on Mir Ali Road, killing the driver and injuring two other people travelling in the vehicle. The injured were taken to the Agency Headquarters Hospital in Miramshah. Political Agent Siraj Ahmad Khan clamped a curfew on Miramshah Bazaar and the surrounding areas. “Tribesmen closed down their businesses and rushed towards their houses,” the official said. In a separate incident, three people were killed when unidentified men opened fire at a car in Mir Ali tehsil of the agency. Official said that the attackers escaped from the crime scene soon after.
