Unconfirmed circumstances: Three bodies found in Khyber Agency

Another body found near Kohat University of Science and Technology.

BARA: Three bullet-riddled bodies were found in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Friday.

A Bara political administration official said that two bodies were found in Sipah, while the third was found in Karegar Garhi.

The bodies were found early Friday morning by tribesmen who then informed security forces and the political administration. The official said that the bodies were taken to the political administration’s office.

The body found in Karegar Garhi was identified as Mir Hassan, a resident of Shalobar, Bara. Out of the two bodies found in Sipah, one has been identified as that of an Afghan citizen.  The second has yet to be identified.

Kidnapping

In another incident, two people were allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint by unidentified assailants in Jamrud. Fazal Mabood, a resident of Malikabad, said that his sons Fayaz and Noorul Qamar had been kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location. He said that they had been carrying Rs300,000 in cash at the time.

“I informed the political administration officials about the incident but they haven’t taken any action yet,” Mabood said.

However, talking to The Express Tribune, Jamrud political administration official Asmatullah Wazir said that initial investigations had indicated that both men had fled from their homes along with the cash.

Bullet-riddled body found near university

A bullet-riddled body was found in Orakzai Square near Kohat University of Sciences and Technology on Friday morning. SHO Mujtaba of Riaz Shaheed police said that he was informed by locals about the body at 7am. Police then took the body to Liaqat Memorial Hospital for an autopsy, where it was identified as Sajjad Ali, a resident of Kaka Sahib, Nowshera.
