US drone strike kills 17 suspected militants in Orakzai Agency

US drone fired four missiles at the compound of Mufti Pir Shakir, killing and injuring his fighters.

KALAYA: At least 17 suspected militants were killed and more than 20 were injured when a US drone fired missiles at a compound in the Bulandkhel area of Upper Orakzai Agency on Thursday.

An official of the political administration, while confirming the strike, said that a US drone fired four missiles at the compound of Mufti Pir Shakir, killing and injuring his fighters. He added that the attack took place in a remote area sharing its border with the North Waziristan Agency.

The official further said that soon after the attack, the suspected militants surrounded the area and took away the bodies and other injured to an undisclosed location.

On October 10, a similar strike in North Waziristan left five dead.

PTI is against drones as they think that it is extrajudicial killings.In war there are no trials;who tried Malala for promoting western education? Are Hazaras being killed justly? So why demanding rights for these barbarians? Hypocrats!

@Ashraf P: In this world does Allah save only those who are innocent? So if Malala dies (Allah forbid), does that mean that Allah did not save her because she was NOT innocent? Liberal and secular extremism is as condemnable as religious extremism.
