KARACHI: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) website was hacked on Monday by an unknown hacker who left a short warning message on the site rather than indulging in the usual practice of defacing it, ProPakistani.pk reported.
The PTCL management took notice of the breach and removed the message.
The hacker, in the message, advised the company’s management to secure its website. The message was published in the menu section of the website.
The message stated:
When it will be secure. Please do secure it. Close registration and change your IT team. Thanks.
The PTCL website, which hosts a variety of other websites, has been targeted by hackers before. People familiar with the security trends told ProPakistani that the PTCL server has been insecure for a long time and such incidents were just waiting to happen.
While it was unclear whether the hacker had managed to steal any data, the hacker apparently seemed to be acting in good faith in taking an extreme step to make the PTCL recognise their vulnerabilities.

It’s not always about being perfect in language as long as you’re perfect in what you do. Knowing English grammar is not some achievement to boast about. Hacking is.Recommend
