Former Sindh MPA gunned down in Mehmoodabad

Four men on motorcycles opened fire on him.

KARACHI: Former Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sindh Malik Atta was killed when unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire on him near Parsi Gate in Mehmoodabad, Express News reported on Saturday.

Police said that there were four men on two motorcycles.

The former MPA’s body was shifted to Jinnah hospital.

Earlier, Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader Allama Ahmed Ludhyanvi announced a day of mourning over the deaths of six party members.

On Ishq-e-Rasool Day, 20 people were killed and 103 others were reported injured in the city.

Police officials said a 100 people had been arrested.
