Mashrafe Mortaza is hopeful experienced line-up will cause an upset at the tournament.

Mashrafe Mortaza is hopeful that an experienced line-up will cause an upset at the tournament, according to the International Cricket Council.

The Asian nation has not fared well in previous editions but Mashrafe thinks the current squad is well-placed for an upset when they take on New Zealand in their tournament opener on September 21.

“I think the squad has a more settled look,” said Mashrafe. “We’re  mostly playing the same set of players. The experienced members are performing. I don’t like to make comparisons but this team has definitely played more games and has more Twenty20 experience.”
