Political targeting: Son of PML-Q leader attacked

An FIR, No. 788, has been registered against unknown assailants at the Shahrah-e-Faisal Police Station.

KARACHI: Sheheryar Ali Tirmizi, son of Mrs Shaze Maqsood, who is Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid’s (PML-Q) vice president for Sindh, was attacked in Gulistan-e-Jauhar when he was returning to his house on Monday. The incident took place at around 2 pm and while Tirmizi remained safe, the car’s rear was badly damaged. An FIR, No. 788, has been registered against unknown assailants at the Shahrah-e-Faisal Police Station. Maqsood said that unknown assailants had also killed her brother-in-law who was the president of PIA’s worker union and has appealed to the higher authorities for protection of her family.
