Former captain Sanath Jayasuriya feels that playing in front of their home crowd will increase the pressure on Sri Lanka, according to PakPassion.net.

However, Jayasuriya was confident that captain Mahela Jayawardene and his team will rise to the challenge, urging them to take advantage of familiar conditions.

“There is no doubt that playing at home brings additional pressure and more expectations,” said Jayasuriya. “But at the same time, the players will enjoy playing in their home conditions, playing in front of their fans who always give them great support.”

He added that Pakistan and India will be Sri Lanka’s biggest threat to the title bid.
