Transitions: PPP leader Waheed Katpar passes away

Sindh CM says Katpar had played a vital role for the party’s progress under the leadership of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow on the sad demise of Abdul Waheed Katpar, senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former provincial law and parliamentary affairs minister.

Shah said that Katpar had played a vital role for the party’s progress under the leadership of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

He fulfilled his duties as a minister and was a valuable member of the Sindh Assembly, said Shah. He offered condolences to the family of the deceased. Senior assistant Rashid Rabbani, special assistant Waqar Mehdi and political coordinator Siddique Abu Bhai also offered their condolences.
