Misuse of the blasphemy law (II)

Published: September 4, 2012

ISLAMABAD: This article was a commendable effort by Mr Ashrafi. I am glad a religious scholar has come forward to present the true picture of Islam. But I have one question for Mr Ashrafi. During Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) time and that of the Caliphs, there were non-Muslims living in Madina and its adjacent areas. They had their places of worship where they could pray freely. Why, then, don’t we condemn the Saudi government for not allowing any non-Muslim place of worship to be established in Saudi Arabia?

Why not the Govt of Pakistan build a few Temples for the Hindus and give reservations in jobs and education to help them?

All this talk of A is a Religion of Peace amounts to nothing when you don’t even allow Hindu marriages to be registered.
