Abductions, target killing, inflation, loadshedding on the list.

LAHORE:

President Zardari’s four and a half years in power have been a dictatorship, Jamaat-i-Islami ameer Syed Munawar Hasan said on Wednesday.

He termed as ridiculous, President Zardari’s claim of having served the cause of democracy during his tenure. He said nobody would believe such statements. He said Zardari’s corruption was not a secret. Hasan said the government’s “long list of failures” included US slavery, abductions for ransom, target killings, load shedding, inflation, worsening law and order, a debt-ridden economy and a friendly overture for India.

Zardari, he said, was safeguarding US interests to remain in power. He won’t risk annoying Washington, said Hasan. Zardari, he said, did not consider himself answerable to the people.

The government’s and armed force’s silence on drone attacks implies that they are being conducted with the government’s consent, he added. Hasan said October would have been the best time for elections but seemed out of question. He warned opposition parties that if the PPP was given more time, it might refuse to hold elections. He called on opposition to form a ‘grand alliance’.

Yes there should be no election till the war against terrorism is going on . The other political parties in pakistan wants to come in power using the anti American feelings and with the support of terrorists and religious fanatics . They will also spoil the peace efforts in Afghanistan .
