Dilapidated building: Teacher injured as roof caves in

Roof collapsed because the condition of the school building was poor.

MIRPUR:


A government schoolteacher was injured in a village near Mirpur on Tuesday after the ceiling of a school collapsed.


Muhammad Khursheed of Chaudhry Abdullah Government Boys High School in Potha Bhainsi village was taken to a local hospital, said Mahboob Kaakervi, a freelance journalist and eyewitness. He said that no student was injured in the incident.

Kaakervi said the roof collapsed because the condition of the school building was poor.

Locals expressed concern over the incident and demanded the Azad Jammu and Kashmir education department authorities to reconstruct the school building.
