After splitting from rumoured girlfriend-singer Katy Perry, John Mayer has drifted his fans’ attention to something more interesting — his new haircut. The Grammy award winner debuted his new, short hair at Skybar in Los Angeles at the celebration of actor-friend Mindy Kaling’s new TV series.

What we love

Like Miley Cyrus, Mayer also has the confidence to chop off his long tresses! He’s traded his unruly, messy shoulder-length locks for a shorter, neater look and we love it. While the ladies man stole many hearts with his shaggy hairdo, this prim and proper look makes him look extremely lovable as well.

Unfortunately

While “Your Body is a Wonderland” hit maker ditched his untidy shaggy locks for a short-and-neat sophisticated image, the timing seems like too much of a coincidence. So we ask — is this new charming look at the regrettable cost of a beautiful couple’s break-up?
