Water crisis: Key dams recede from maximum levels

ISLAMABAD: All main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normally except Kabul River which is flowing at a low level at Warsak, announced the Federal Flood Commission on Friday. 

The Swat River is also flowing at a low level at the Charsadda Road Bridge. The daily flood situation report indicated that the Tarbela and Mangla Dams are 42.13 feet and 65.8 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels.

Isolated thunderstorm and rains are expected on Saturday over Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and Bahawalpur Divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan, North Eastern Balochistan and Kashmir including the upper catchments of Rivers Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej.
